The Asia Pacific Loan Market Association (APLMA) recently named the winners of its Asia Pacific Syndicated Loan Awards.
ANZ was awarded Syndicated Loan House of the Year – Australia, and Syndicated Loan House of the Year – New Zealand, reflecting the bank’s dominance in its home markets. ANZ was also recognised in APLMA’s Syndicated Leveraged and Acquisition Finance Deal of the Year; Syndicated Corporate Deal of the Year; and Syndicated Deal of the Year. According to Bloomberg, ANZ was ranked #1 in the mandated lead arranger for Australia and New Zealand loans league table with over 14% market share in 2017.
The APLMA awards are judged by market participants, including peer banks, lawyers and non-bank investors.
Christina Tonkin, Managing Director of Loans and Specialised Finance at ANZ, commented: “These award wins are a testament to the breadth and the depth of our product capabilities at ANZ, as well as the hard work of our teams. We’re delighted to receive this recognition as we continue to develop our capabilities and connect our home markets of Australia and New Zealand with Asia Pacific.”
