INSIGHT

The commitment that makes ANZ #1 in Asia

At ANZ, our relationship with customers is at the centre of everything. That’s why we’re so grateful when we are recognised for our commitment to provide customers with the best-possible solutions.

What is more pleasing to see is that ANZ Institutional has been named the number-one bank in Asia in terms of overall relationship quality for the third-consecutive year.

Every year, Greenwich Associates tracks Asian companies’ perceptions of their banks in the Greenwich Quality Index. The index is derived from ratings that corporate executives participating in the annual study assign to their current banks. It’s a broad measure, encompassing factors ranging from ease of doing business, willingness to lend, provision of ideas and advice and demonstrating knowledge of clients’ international and transaction banking needs.

In addition to recognising ANZ first in quality for the Asian region, Greenwich also named the bank the number-one relationship quality leader in China and Hong Kong – both for the third consecutive time. Greenwich has also named ANZ number-one bank for relationship quality in Singapore – all three markets being Asia’s most competitive markets.

ANZ has also retained its position as a top-five corporate bank in Asia for overall market penetration.

We are incredibly proud of this result. In a highly competitive market, the above awards are testament to the fact that - despite a host of competition from the global banks and the emergence of local players, our customer relationships remain strong thanks to the exceptional efforts of our international and institutional teams by leveraging ANZ’s strong network coverage and cross border capabilities.

The news comes after ANZ Institutional was named as the best trade finance provider in both Australia and New Zealand for the eleventh consecutive year in January.

At ANZ, we know it is a volatile time for treasurers across almost all industries. With our customer-centric approach and international knowledge, we are here to help them navigate today’s challenging and volatile markets, and business conditions.
