Number one for payments & cash management – again

ANZ Institutional’s customer proposition is simple: we’re focussed on supporting those who rely on us not just for banking, but help and advice in times they need it the most. During the crisis, we’ve been called upon to deliver on our capability more often than ever before – and our customers have told us they value and recognise that.

They’ve recognised our working-capital assistance to businesses impacted by the crisis. They’ve seen us help organisations make the critical transition to the digital economy, through the use of our market-leading cash-management and trade capabilities. And they’ve acknowledged our help managing the increased risk of doing business in a period of unprecedented volatility.

Now, another acknowledgement: ANZ Institutional has been ranked the number one outright and lead bank for market penetration in Australia, according to the 2020 Peter Lee Associates Large Corporate and Institutional Transactional Banking Survey.

At ANZ, we value this recognition as it is an indication of our customer centricity. This is our strongest Peter Lee performance for transaction banking in a number of years, and is welcome reward for our continued investment in the bank’s cash management and trade business.

ANZ’s transaction banking platform is ANZ Transactive Global - a digital solution providing a single entry point to cash, liquidity, commercial cards, trade and markets services. It’s great to see our focus on continual improvement in this area is lifting customer confidence both in our products and our people.

According to Peter Lee, ANZ held its lead domestic transactional bank ranking for the fourth-consecutive year and ranked first for transaction processing and platform security features, while also being ranked number one for ‘usefulness of advice and guidance’. ANZ also maintained its number-one ranking as a prominent bank for trade services.

ANZ also improved its platform performance score, the only one of the four major Australian banks to do so. This was achieved in the first year of migration of customers to ANZ Transactive Global.

This all comes alongside the announcement ANZ Institutional maintained its ranking as the top Institutional bank in Australia for a fifth-consecutive year.

We know the crisis has changed the landscape for our customers, and probably permanently. For ANZ, that means we need to work hard to maintain our levels of investment and support. We remain committed to helping customers stay on top of their business – both now and in the future.
